Peek-A-Boo!

Well, he did it again.  Evan found a new way to make us laugh.  He became very interested in my laptop sleeve last night and after he was bored taking rings out of it, he started playing peek-a-boo with it and ended up with it covering his face.  He would just leave it there and then rip it off and laugh.  I know it doesn't necessarily look safe, but I swear he was ok!

"... So I Put 'Googly Eyes' On Them."

Our friends Jerry & Missy sent us some googly eyes to put on our plants, so Evan would feel more comfortable around them. They were the ones who showed us the Christopher Walken SNL sketch. It was really sweet, and we think Evan had a good time with it. Thanks guys!!

What to say....

I can't even explain how perfect this goofy little grin is on Evan!  He played games with us throughout dinner. Putting pasta in his mouth, sucking off the red sauce, then holding his mouth open with the noodle moving around in his mouth - and then, of course, spitting the noodle out.  We should have just given him a bowl of red sauce and a spoon.  But then again, it kind of looks like we did, if you notice the red sauce smeared across his face (how could you miss it!) and nicely stuck in his hair.  Needless to say, it was a straight-from-the-highchair-to-the-bath kind of night! We love this little guy!!!

The Snow is Melting...

The weather is starting to turn here in Minnesota. Friday and Saturday were in the upper 40's and Sunday we got some rain. The snow is starting to melt, and we've been trying to get Evan outside as much as possible. Daddy got to spend all day Friday with the little guy and we got to take him out for a run on Saturday. We had some friends in town that we got to visit with and Evan got to see his cousin Grayson on Sunday.

Weekend Update

Evan stayed busy this weekend.  He continues to move all over the place and seems to prefer to be walking with his walker over crawling.  He's getting into new places and loving it!  Well, loving everything but the house plants.  For some reason the house plants freak him out.  Jake and I can't help but compare it to a notorious Saturday Night Live skit with Christopher Walken.  If you know the skit, or if you want to watch it HERE, we're thinking we might need to put googly eyes on our plants:)

Evan has been having fun "walking" around the house with his activity walker from grandma and grandpa. We've been helping him, but now he seems to have the hang of it himself. He can get going pretty good, and seems to have fun tooling around. Here's a VIDEO of him cruising through the house.

Cabin Fever

We got the little guy out of the house a few times this weekend. We've been cooped up all winter! We were able to go for a couple jogs, one around Lake Nokomis and one along the Mississippi. We went shopping with Aunt Toby too. Evan has been crawling around the house and getting in to everything! We have to adjust our daily routine to keep up with him, he definitely keeps us on our toes.

Exploring

Our little guy keeps amazing us every day.  He is crawling all over the place and exploring new places in the house.  He's also developing a new level of interest in all kinds of things!  Just check out the picture of him listening to Jake read a story below.  He's trying to pull himself up on things and our daycare told us today that he's been "walking" on his hands and feet - picture downward facing dog yoga pose with forward motion.  So cute!  We love this guy!
