Christmas Weekend in Nebraska

We got to Nebraska on Thursday and stayed till Monday. It was a great holiday weekend, and Evan had lots of fun. He got to spend some quality time with the entire Stalder Family and he tried a bunch of new foods. On daddy's birthday (Dec 26th) he got to watch the big Packer game with Dad and Grandpa - which the Packers thankfully won. Mommy and Daddy were happy they were able to get a flight and thank you Auntie Toby for driving all our luggage and gifts!

Here's a VIDEO of Evan riding the airplane and Grandma and Grandpa Stalder's house.

Grandma & Grandpa have this "Winnie the Pooh" airplane
that Evan was a bit scared of at first, but after a while, he loved it.

Santa Came to Visit

Since we are heading down to Nebraska for Christmas, Santa decided to come to our house last night and drop off a bunch of gifts for Evan. He got a few books, sleepers and toys. The little man had a lot of fun searching through his stocking and playing with new presents. Mommy and Daddy had a lot of fun watching him too. Christmas takes on a whole new meaning for us, I think we were both more excited than he was.

Here's a link to a video of Evan opening a present.

Snowed In!

Well it was definitely the biggest snow storm Evan has seen and likely the biggest one he'll see for a long time!  As of 4:00 pm today, we've received about 14 inches of snow and it's still falling.  We took Evan out for a while this afternoon, but the snow was blowing so much and his eye lashes were catching lots of flakes, so we didn't stay out long.  Hopefully everyone stayed safe and warm today!
He's not looking so happy about this.

This was about noon.

Still not sure....

"Really guys, any minute here..."

Happy St. Nick's!

Evan got his first St. Nick's present today. Grandma and Granpda Turzynski sent a very sweet gift. There was a homemade stocking and two homemade hats. They sent along some toys books and treats as well. St. Nick's was always very special for me and my sister growing up, and I think Evan will look forward to it as well. We would hang our stockings on our door knobs the night before (December 5th) and wake up to a stocking full of toys and treats. Good stuff!

Here's a link to a video of Evan playing with his new toys... VIDEO

Evan really liked the stocking itself

Mother Goose books (He's thinking: "these will taste good")

Grandma knit a cap with ear flaps too. Super cute!

Evan's First Holiday Party

We had our fourth annual Holiday Party at this house on Friday. Evan got to hang around for the first hour, and then went to Aunt Toby's house for a sleep over. We put him in his holiday pj's and he hung out with a few of the guests. The party was a lot of fun and we got about 8" of snow that night.

Shortly before all the guests showed up
